"Princess Bust Developer" from 1897
#1

From the Sears, Roebuck catalogue of 1897:  "Princess Bust Developer and Bust Cream or Food" "Will expand any lady's bust from 2 to 3 inches."  The kit includes items that we talk about here all the time:  topical cream for enlarging the breasts, and a tool for "pumping".

One has to wonder what ingredients were in the Bust Cream.  The ad reads, "mainly pure vegetable oils, perfectly harmless."  Did they know about botanicals such as pueraria mirifica, fennel and fenugreek, lavender and so forth?  Were they added to the cream as well?

Did anyone actually achieve success by using this kit?  And... did any genetic males secretly order and try to develop breasts on their own?  I suppose we'll never know, but the kit price of $1.46 wasn't exactly cheap at the time.  I can imagine the disappointment when, despite high hopes, no breast growth occurred--and there goes a buck and a half--wasted.  Or maybe it did work...? I was curious and made a quick search for “seroco chemical laboratory bust”.

The us amazon site has t shirts with the jar label printed on them.

I wonder if the cylindrical pump/reservoir section joined to the dome is spring loaded to exert a constant pull on an internal piston?  Or maybe there is a check valve and the pump is operated manually, one stroke at a time.

I smell snake oil. xD This is funny af, having that as a shirt print while having massive boobs would be awesome. If someone asked how did they grow so big, I just point at the shirt and say this. Big Grin

That's so funny, I've been thinking of other silly tops with titty related prints... As people are nosy, one good one would be like "42NN, now shut up!" Or just a picture of a cow, or old fashioned milk truck or something.

The inflation calculator I used only goes back to 1913. A $1.46 back then would be about $48.19 in today's dollars. Even without buying this particular kit, I feel it's very easy to spend that kind of money on NBE herbs, whether starting out for the 1st time, or replenishing supplies.

I use more than that on NBE each month... Easily more than twice and even more counting HRT medication. And it wont even be enough for everything and anything.  Big Grin But there's just a little something to show for it too.
