3d printable domes

#1

I’ve been working on a little side project for the last few months and thought it might be useful to share with the community. I’ve designed my own breast enlargement cups and decided to make them open‑source so anyone can print them for free.

The cups range from 110 mm to 170 mm wide in 10 mm increments (working on designs up to 200mm), with depths from 110 mm to 185 mm, so there’s a good range of size combinations. It took quite a bit of trial and error (and a few throw‑away prototypes) to get the contour just right, but I’ve been using them myself for a few weeks now with good results so far. Still a long way to go for me, but I’m happy with the fit and comfort compared to other domes I’ve tried.

When driving these, I took into account a lot of the common complaints people have had with other domes. My goal is to help more people find something that works for them without the high cost or the need to modify existing products.

I’m also tinkering with an electric pump with pressure sensors. The prototype I’ve built so far works on a timer—pulling for 10 seconds, releasing for 30—and I can wear the cups most of the day without discomfort. I’m hoping to have a refined version ready in the next couple of months.

If you want to check out the cup designs, information on how to download is at OpenNBE.com. I’m not selling anything—just putting the files out there so others can benefit and maybe improve on them.

I hope they help some of you on your journey, and I’d love to hear any feedback if you decide to try them.

These are really awesome! I don't know anyone who has a good 3d printer though, but bookmarked for later as this is really cool idea. This could end up solving the issues with larger domes and problems with the dome shape. I stopped mostly because I outgrew all the Noogleberry domes. Could be fun to get back vacuum pumping. This might be the way. The only problem is if the domes aren't trasparent. Seeing what's going on is quite important.

They do make transparent filament.  I just didn't have any.  There are distribution networks of people who do print on demand.  I'll look into a few of them.

The problem with these is that since they are of a more natural shape, they take up more space for shipping.  Will keep everyone posted on progress.  I'm moving on to the pump mechanism now.

It's currently a pretty shrewd setup with wires going everywhere, but it works.  I want to build it so it will quiet the pump (these are noisy).  But I was able to build it mostly with left over parts and a $6 pump.  The controller is an Arduino that I had laying around, but you can find them in the $10 range for what we'll need.  Trying to keep the build cost low.  Once these are done I'm guessing the all in cost will be $30-40.

I would be very interested if there's someone who could print these in transparent material. I wonder if they could be polished to be absolutely clear afterwards? That would make them perfect.

I'm interested because the technology exists to make this stuff, also Noogle domes have a problem, I outgrew XXL and out of production XXXL domes and with latter the problems was depth, while width was and still would be spot on. Wider above the rim and deeper than any Noogleberry model would be godsend and could give me a chance to do vacuum pumping again. I've been off of it for a long time now and I know there's unrealised potential still left and the problem has been lacking correct sizes domes. This 3d printing project might be exactly what I've been looking for.

But as I can't do the printing on my own, I would need help from someone and I'm willing to compensate work and material costs if someone wants to step in to make them.  Big Grin
