Samantha's HRT + NBE Journey
#1

Hihii everyone!!!!

New thread being started here, has have moved over from just doing NBE to going to start HRT (starting this Tuesday, so EXCITEDS!!!!!!! ^_^ ).

Previous thread on only just NBE (includes starting blood work & ending blood work for just labs), as well as the NBE program & dosages I was taking can be found here: Samantha's NBE Only Program Thread

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As discussed with the doctor, my HRT will consist of the following (for now):

  1. Injections - EV SUBQ: 0.15mL weekly (6mg of 40mg/mL vial)
  2. Pill form - Dutasteride - 0.5mg daily

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In addition to the HRT, I will be continuing on with the NBE that I had (to support everything going on).

This again can be found in the link post found above, but may change based upon starting HRT.  Changes could include the following:

  1. Possible removal of WP (may need other's view on this, as was thinking of stopping it when on HRT)
  2. Possible removal of RR+Green Tea Extract (as Duta would be doing this better; but also wouldn't hurt to take it as well)

Outside of this, all other NBE & the topicals would be keeping on their regular dosages!

Here's to a girl just waiting for it to be Tuesday as fast as hecking possible (literallies wiggling in the chair with excitement)!!

Unfortunately the start date may be pushed back to tomorrow (at the earliest) due to weather problems for the carrier.

Disappointed that it won’t be today (very slim chance for today), but at least should be within the next few days that am able to start.

Update (4/29/2026):

Hihiii everyone!!!

Was able to get everything today (EV & Duta), and basically just took my first dose 20 minutes ago!

Tried following the instructions for the injection as best as possible, but know didn't do it as perfect/good as I would have liked this first time around.

But at least there's more and more chances these next couple of weeks to really dial it in!

Can't wait for what the future holds!!!

Congratz on getting started. Hug Try to arrange so that you do EV shot biweekly. It has the awesome "pulse" to the levels which I think is likely stimulating ERs really well but you still want stability. I have no clue why so many doctors prescribe EV with obviously too long injection cycle, that's counterproductive.

Except it to kick on quickly, you'll likely notice a whole lot of changes in a short time. Its such an exciting rush to get started. ^_^

so happy for u <333

dont worry, injecting becomes 2nd nature very soon. expect some bumps and maybe a bruise or two in the beginning, that's nothing to worry about! u will find the injection spots that work for you and the body will heal small mishaps that may happen. also don't worry if u get the dosage a lil wonky sometimes, consistency is more important. u got this <3

Thank you!!!

Will try and do that! Don't think I have enough syringes & needles & supplies to arrange it to biweekly currently (so might have to order stuff to make that possible)!

Ands yepyeps, awaiting the changes ^_^

Yepyeps, expect it to become 2nd nature soon! Did it on the lower belly area with no problems as wells!

Yepyeps on the consistency.  Was just the directions I was told to follow weren't the greatest when taking it; so eventually watched a video after first injection and got a much better idea of how to do it (at least from drawing it).
