Why am i embarassed
#1

I have been on BO a while and my boobs have grown quite to the point that my nipples are quite large and my boobs bounce when i walk which I don't mind but I'm embarassed to take my top off around the pool as I am still presenting as male. Why invest the time and money to feel like this anybody with an answer would be greatly received.

Hello Amanda,

I think it's not uncommon to feel self-conscious about parts of our body, especially when it's not normally on full-display to others. As to why you're pursuing breast growth, I feel that's a question only you can answer.

For me, I started my NBE journey as a longing/desire to have feminine breasts. Eventually I would begin my MtF transition years later.

Search your feelings, why do you want to have boobs and do you really? Men tend to feel embarrassed if they have gynecomastia going on due to social stigma of a man showing anything feminine... Which is absolutely ridiculously stupid patriarchal gatekeeping of gender expression.

But the problem is real, who's is it? Is it your problem or other people? Do you care about what other people think?

I think boobs shouldn't be sexualised, nor gendered as much either, as in a woman without boobs isn't much of a miracle, but a man with boobs should be just accepted because its no big deal. Who gives a fuck? No one should bat an eye about it. Mixed sex characteristics are normal part of human condition.

It has been
ingrained in society that having boobs is strictly restricted to females. Society must change --I can understand your feeling self-conscious  I to am reluctant to take my shirt off --just the same I love my boobs  Smile

Some people here don't like to hear it, but I say it again... Guys, stop being cowards, flaunt your boobs. If you have them, at least don't feel ashamed by them. There's no shame in it. All humans have boobs, only difference is if they're fully developed or not.  Wink

It’s been a long journey for me but I’ve become proud of my breasts. I am however very ashamed for someone to know I’m wearing a bra. Its still a struggle over whether to wear one and how to conceal it especially when wearing daily.

This is one of those ridiculous things again, bra should be a unisex garment. Not all who benefit from one are women, so why the fuck does anyone care? Its so dumb. People are dumb on forcing gender on a lot of things in life which shouldn't be gendered, or would be better if they weren't.

On this too, I believe that men should do what ever feels compfortable. Who ever makes a scene out of that is having a problem and it ain't boobs or wearing a bra.

I think all shame about being human should end, all bodies are human and all are equally valuable. And guys with boobs don't magically stop being guys because of boobs as all humans have them one way or another.  Big Grin

I can understand your feelings. At first I was the same way but each time I went to the pool or beach topless I got less concerned. Do others notice my boobs?  Yes.  Do they care? I honestly don’t think so. As long as you otherwise present yourself as a masculine male they will just assume it is a case of gyno. I get an occasional glance but have never gotten any comments. I encourage you to keep going out and let’s those girls hang proudly. After a while you will not even think about it.

Omg, what if a guy presented as androgynous or even feminine? Omg how brave. Big Grin Lol. Cis hetero men are way too concerned about making their masculinity crumble in eyes of others. Does it have to do with the weird sense of "respect" which men are often so concenrned about? Scared of being seen as gay or worse yet, trans something something... /sarcasm

Most of the time people will not care, they are concenrned mostly about their own business. Especially at a pool or a beach where people are to have good time. I would guess that getting some dumb fuck shouting at a dude having boobs being extremely rare as they would only make a fool of themselves. Then again, I can't talk about other cultures that much. I come from one in which people mostly value privacy and personal space and they rather just look but stay quiet than cause a scene. Why does it matter so much? Titties or not. Also, guys shouldn't really worry about deviating from gender norms that much. Adult life isn't quite the highschool yard where appearances mean everything. These days its also allowed to be GNC, its allowed to be non straight or look androgynous. Drop the shame, its silly.

Did anybody also think that guys get a free pass of being topless in far more settings than women do? Boobs on a guy is just "Oh he's a bit chubby, oh he has nice pecs, oh he has gynecomastia" I think this is one of the things on which we should be equal in all situations. Who the fuck is scared of seeing a nipple? Or a lump of ducts, lobules and fat below the nipple? They're just a baby feeding stations and that's it.

Here's a nice little challence for all BN folks for next summer, go to a beach or pool topless and snap a pic for a lovely memory. Big Grin Zero shame. Boobs are not weird, they're not a taboo. Or if they are, that taboo should be broken already. We're not medieval any more.

Well guys reading your lovely encouraging replies, I've decided to go to the pool tomorrow and go topless bugger what people think. I've always wanted to have a female looking body but growing up in a male enviroment it was never easy. Now I've turned 60 and started taking supplements and the attitude we have today makes it easier, it was just having the gumption to show off what my body has achieved and your lovely encouragment ensured this so thankyou.
