Hello Harvey,
I also went to Planned Parenthood (PP) to begin my HRT journey. If you do go to PP, you may need to check that your local PP office offers HRT (some of them might not from what I've heard).
Overall, I had a positive experience with PP (before I switched over to the VA for care). The staff was very respectful and non-judgmental. Their customer service was also very good. My only complaints with PP is that they don't prescribe bicalutamide as an anti-androgen, and it can be a bit difficult to find one's bloodwork results in their online patient portal. I believe they upgraded their patient portal since I was there, so maybe that issue has been resolved?

Misgendering me is very low. Not that it makes me budge one bit. You're only telling your own story saying such things.
Well Laura,
I've been mansplained to by pleanty of women, there's no doubt in my mind you are a woman.
Please don't talk about me or reference me in your threads anymore as I have bitten my tongue as I read your threads that demean anyone who doesn't agree with you.
I for one consider being called a cis a derogatory term, as well as some of the other nasty things you say about me, you also don't know anything about me, where I grew up and the circumstances of my life. While you think your life is a struggle, it's not just about you.
Please stop talking about me, I don't need to be bullied or harassed.
Kindest Regards,
Harvey,
I do apologize that she has hijacked your thread to target me for harassment, feel free to DM me if you want to know my experience with PP or my time on BO and HRT. Laura really is a knowledgeable woman on all things NBE and HRT check out some of her threads for good information.

@tomi66, cisgender/cis woman/cis man isn't derogatory. it's necessary in context when talking about trans and intersex people. it's not taking anything away from your identity. you can't use the term "trans" without accepting the use of term "cis" as well. what WOULD be derogatory would be saying "there's people and then there's trans people". you see the problem? everyone is people. trans and cis and intersex are just descriptors, used in context.
saying "cis is derogatory" is indeed transphobic and interphobic.
and it was you who started with the misgendering, and everyone has the right to defend themselves.

Hi Harvey,
I am under a doctors care. I am not transitioning I am feminizing my body. I have always had breasts but they weren't very feminine and I want to be able to fit into bras, dresses and jeans how I feel I should look.
I started on 1 mg Estradiol in the am and 1 mg Estradiol pm for year 1, then I switched to 1 mg am and 2 pm for 3 months then my liver started getting stressed so my doctor switched me to 2- 1mg patches that give a slow steady release and I replace them every 3.5 days.
Before that I was on BO for to years, maxing out at 1800 late afternoon and 2400 mg at night, keep in mind I started out at 200 mg twice a day and increased slowly and then after 18 months decreased to 500 mg 2 times a day. It was a good experience but in retrospect I think I should have moved to Estradiol after 12 months.
I don't plan on transitioning, I am perfectly happy having male parts and presenting as male. In the native American tribal world of my ancestors I would be considered Two Spirit, I can walk in both worlds of male and female.

@tomi66 i am not trolling, i'm serious. i get that you identify as a person with two sides, and that is beautiful and valid. what i don't agree with is you trying to diminish the term "cis", which is a specific term for specific context. being cis is just a term for when your gender identity matches the sex you were assigned at birth. the opposite of that is trans, which is just a term for when your gender identity doesn't match the sex you were assigned at birth. it's not an identity itself.
as an intersex woman, who was assigned "male" at birth, that makes me transgender. it doesn't take away anything from my identity as a woman. if i was an intersex man, assigned male at birth, that would make me cisgender despite being intersex. nonbinary exists somewhere in between, but as they're assigned either F or M at birth, that makes nonbinary people also transgender *in this context*.
it's up to you to decide what your gender identity looks like, and whether that matches your assigned sex at birth (which causes a lot of pain, because we still assign either F or M to everyone, and it hurts NB and two-spirited people for example), and what terms you use when talking about it. but people using the terms "cis" or "trans" is not derogatory, and trying to erase those terms is harmful to everyone as long as we keep assigning sex instead of just letting people declare their gender.

Tommy 66 that is exactly what I am looking for. I have naturally grown a set of B cup boobs. I have always wanted to be femanized not trans. So I can do that with a low dose of estrogen? Which is what I have wanted! Thank you for sharing

Hi Harvey
Many people here have used herbs, but there is a serious concern about DVT connected with the uncontrolled us of herbs after a certain age. I am only saying this because you have stated that you are 73 and the risk tends to become more relevant as age progresses.
You say that you already have B cups. Do you intend to grow them more or just to make them firmer and more feminine? Is your current shape very far fro myour ideal results?
If HRT is not an option, there are a lot of firming breast creams for women that contain some bio-identical estrogen or progesterone. In my opinion they are probably safer to use on the chest because they contain lower level of hormones (they are sold without prescription).
