Hi wee2er,
I will ask about the gel and patch, needles don't bother me so all the options besides oral are open to me.
My last labs while taking estradiol: estradiol 30.9 and testosterone 552. Both within normal range for an adult male, she will probably do labs next week just to see where everything is at, and get a good baseline.
So far the only unwanted effect from discontinued estradiol is my leg and arm pit hair grows back a little faster but my skin is still soft, breasts still seem to be rounding out, body fat hasn't shifted back to a male shape. However I was on BO for 2 years and there's anecdotal evidence that it flips a switch in some people that keeps them producing estrogen long after they stop, but nothing scientific, lol, I won't complain if it does work like that for me.

Update. Met with the doctor and she said it's ok to start back up the progesterone and after all the liver tests come back we will look at the patch or shot.
My bloodwork came back and liver enzymes are still elevated but came down quite a bit. Now I am waiting on an ultrasound of my liver, the imaging doctor is supposed to call to schedule an appointment.

Update as promised. Liver ultrasound came back as a normal liver. My slightly elevated liver enzymes are due to 35 years of alcohol abuse. Anyway, glad that my liver is still looking good.
I will start back on estradiol as soon as the doctor sends the prescription over to the pharmacy, we decided on the dermal patch. I work out pretty intensely so if I have a problem with it staying on she said I can switch to the injection.
Overall not taking estradiol over the past few months really didn't affect me much except faster growth on my leg and pit hair
libido came back and nipples not as sensitive.

Think once you are back on E you might just realise what you were missing hehe

Lol! I am missing only shaving my legs once a week. My hair growth is almost back where it was before e. I will say my skin has stayed soft and my figure hasn't diminished, however it hadn't peeked either, that is what I miss the most. IDK why but I like the way I look with feminine curves, it's not even about breast growth it's more about body shape.
I hope you are doing well, I saw your last post, looks like you are waiting for a specialist to prescribe and monitor your progress?

Tomi, I know what you mean, but there is plenty of males staying males around here.
The "trannier-than-thou" plague comes and goes, as do the people who incite it, but the forum stays and its most serious members do too.
Please don't leave. I am sure things will get better soon.
