For me I've noticed that increased nipple size has caused a noticeable reduction in sensitivity. I have gone a bit extreme and for some time used electric nipple pumps. So after pumping my nipples are a good 1.5cm long and quite thick. I enjoy having them like this - they are so nice to play with. They'll stand a bit of firm or rough treatment so different sensations can be generated. It seems logical that something as big as that wouldnt be as super-sensitive as its smaller counterpart - because the nerve endings are being spread more thinly over a larger surface area.
