There's been some bad examples on how vacuum pumping can go wrong. I experienced some issue but none of it ended up being serious. My good friend Mel87 got a nasty complication from pumping in which she almost lost her boobs due to connective tissues breaking and almost going into necrosis. But she has fully recovered now from what I understood.
Also there's been some persons who have got nerve damage which can happen if nerves are pinched for too long without time to recover. Frequent breaks, different cup positions and being gentle on pressure can quite easily help avoid all these issues.
I found vacuum pumping early on quite effective boost to my development, but I've grown much more than ever before after I quit. It was at the point where I was outgrowing even the largest cups I could find and the width was getting uncomfortable. So anyway, I know its effective and its also a lot of fun and addictive.
But its best done as a supportive stimulation rather than the sole method. Overdoing it might also end up causing ton of scar tissue build up if its done to the point of continuous blistering without healing in between. The point being that scar tissue inside breasts looks exactly like a tumor so it can masquerade as breast cancer.
So, moderation is the key to pumping.
