I'm already quite overweight, with obesity-related health problems, right now, and I'm not quite sure it's the best avenue to take because of that.
Can anybody with experience using BO, especially if they were already on the heavier side starting, chime in on how it affected their weight goals?
Bo + pituitary do not cause weight gain in themselves, but they seem to make weight gain easier. Note that anything that pushes you towards female hormone balanace, will promote easier weight gain as that's how it works when estrogens dominate your system, your body will adjust your metabolism accordingly. Glandulars seem have a similar effect but do not directly cause weight gain.
I have been doing a deliberate weight gain since starting on HRT and very soon on BO+uterine+pit almost five years ago, I've done also slimming cycles in between but over all direction has been gaining. Before starting I was extremely slim and quite muscular, to the point of abs being visible etc. So my fat percentage was almost unhealthy low, since then I've gained over 100lbs and my fat percentage is likely around 30%. Under normal circumstances I have always ended up being somewhat chubby and HRT+NBE has accentuated this, as does age and changed metabolism. Even without deliberate gain I would likely end up quite heavy regardless. So far my weight hasn't caused any health issues, bigger problem is that I've lost immense amount of strength from HRT. I can stilldeal with carrying firewood daily during winter and doing 5-10km walks isn't much of an issue.
My conclusion after all this time is that Bovine Ovary etc. is quite safe to take even ragarding weight. Just be mindful that you keep exercising what you can and don't eat anything extra. If I would want to absolutely maintain my weight stable while on it, I would just cut the calories back a little bit from usual and keep going at it.
