Quote:Cup Size
----------
Measure the size of your boob (yes, just one boob). Place the tape horizontally and measure from the edge of your sideboob where it meets the chest wall under and in front of your armpit, to where the boob flesh ends at the chest wall near the middle of your chest in front. The ratio of band size to boob size gives a cup size as follows:
Ratio | Cup Size
4.6 | A
4.3 | B
4.1 | C
3.9 | D
e.g. I measure 9" of boobage. On my 38" band, my ratio is 4.22 (38/9) and my proposed chart suggests my cup will be between B and C, closer to B than C. My best fits are B cup bras, although some C cup bras fit me too. I can't get into an A anymore. The ratios above are rounded to a single digit of precision so your mileage may vary.
So today I read this, quoted from the user Sfem by Lotus on another thread... Intrigued me so I did some measuring. It seems that my cup size is somewhere around european D to even a small E, my band length is around 34"-35" inches, 85cm that is. My boob measures about 10,3"-10,5" accross the way described in above quote. So the ratio I get is about 3,3. This is crazy, but it confirms what I found out some time ago. I tried my 85E bra on, which I'm falling in love with more each time I wear it, last time I needed half of the extra padding than before to make it fit nicely which made me think that I must be outgrowing C cup. The calculation seems to correlate this and I'm totally amazed.

To an extent, it seems my natural shape is sort of wide, round and comparatibly flat and very perky, if I want a "boob hang" I need to push them down. Anyway, all this correlates about my so far meager experience with bra sizes, anything smaller than big C feels really uncomfortable now. Has been so for for a while and the 85E's are getting better and better to wear as time goes on. I'm still far away from filling up those babies... Its clearly ever closer though. Had I been blessed with smaller frame, they would look way bigger by now. Looks like my dream boobs aren't so much of a dream to catch.
